Welcome Portrait Event Participants!
Once your school or organization has chosen and set up a date with us, you will be able to register on our web site and then sign up for your preferred sitting time. At the end of the sign up process you will be able to pay your sitting fee online. This will confirm your event date and sitting time.
After you have confirmed your sitting time, an email will be sent to you with your confirmation info, date of the event, location, and confirmed sitting time. If you do not receive an email, please log in to our web site and check your email address in your personal profile.
On the day of your event, our crew will arrive and set up a professional portrait studio at the event location. Simply arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your confirmed time and we will be ready for you and your family.
With in 24 hours of the completion of your event, you will receive and email notifying you that your family’s images are ready to proof. Log in with your email and password, click on your event to proof and order your family’s portraits. It’s fast and convenient.
What to wear?
This is always the most difficult of decisions. The most important point is to hold a color theme, pattern, sport theme, formal theme, casual theme, holiday theme. What ever you chose, make sure that all participants are part of the theme or color scheme.
What to expect from your children, animals, DADS.
Over the years we have devised a system to get your family in and out in a short period of time. Longer sittings do not directly relate to better portraits. We make it quick, simple and painless.
Children
Dress them before you get to the event. Don\t get there too early, they'll want to go play and that usually means dirty clothes. Since most of us don't have professional models for children, don't expect them to act like a professional model. They are kids, let them be themselves. That is why you want a family portrait, to capture this precious moment in time, so that you can look back and remember what they were truly like.
Dads
For dads' sake we make our events quick and hassle free. We always like to hear the dads say "Wow, that was easy!" which translates into "I would do that again".
Dogs, and other animals.
Before bring your animals, please check with your chairperson to see if animals are allowed at your location. Many schools, park, and beaches do not allow animals. Please keep in mind that if your dog is not real mindful at home, they aren't going to suddenly get better at a photo shoot around kids and possibly other animals.
Props
You can bring props to your event as long as you think we can get them in the portrait. Our professional photographers will work with you to incorporate them into your family portrait.
